These terms apply when you buy downloadable Excel templates from excelwithmark.co.uk. Please read them before you place an order. By placing an order you agree to them.

1. About us

Excel With Mark is the trading name of Mark Willows, a sole trader, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@excelwithmark.co.uk.

2. Our products

We sell Microsoft Excel templates delivered as digital downloads. Each product page describes what the template does, the file format (.xlsx, or a .zip containing a macro-enabled .xlsm file) and which versions of Excel it works with. Please check these before you buy. Images show the template with sample data; your results will reflect your own data.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and the price shown at checkout is the total you pay. Payment is taken securely by Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or Klarna). We never see or store your full card details.

4. Your order and delivery

Your order is accepted when your payment is confirmed. You can download your template straight away from the order confirmation page, from the link in your confirmation email, and from the Downloads section of My account. Please save a copy of your file.

5. Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Because our templates are digital content delivered immediately, you lose this right to cancel once the download has started, provided you have agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your right to cancel. You give that agreement at checkout. If you have not yet downloaded your file, you can still cancel within 14 days — see our Refund policy.

6. If something is wrong with your template

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If your template is faulty or not as described, contact us and we will fix or replace it. If we cannot do that within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Your licence to use the template

When you buy a template you receive a non-exclusive licence to use it for your own personal use or for the internal use of your business. You may:

  • use it as often as you like and edit it to suit your needs;
  • keep backup copies.

You may not:

  • resell, share, give away or publish the template or any modified version of it as a template;
  • upload it to a template marketplace or file-sharing site;
  • remove the Excel With Mark notices from the “How to use” sheet if you share a completed workbook with others.

Copyright in the templates remains with Excel With Mark.

8. Macro-enabled templates

Some templates contain VBA macros (.xlsm files). The code is open for you to view and edit in Excel. Macros only run if you enable them, and these templates need desktop Excel for Windows. The Bulk Email Tool sends email through your own Outlook account: you are responsible for the emails you send and for having permission to email your recipients (for example under UK GDPR and PECR).

9. Not professional advice

Our templates are tools to help you organise and present your own information. They are not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for the data you enter and for checking the results before relying on them.

10. Our liability

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, but not for losses that were not foreseeable. If you buy for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data or indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the product. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

11. Custom work and training

Bespoke Excel work, support retainers and training are quoted separately. The terms in your quote apply to that work.

12. Your personal information

We use your details only to process your order, deliver your downloads and provide support. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version on the website when you place your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
